Remove Accumulated Trash
WARNING
!
To prevent serious injury or death:
•
Always shut tractor down using “Tractor Shutdown
Procedure” provided in this manual before servicing,
adjusting, cleaning, or maintaining this implement.
•
Never use your hands to clear accumulated debris.
•
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
that is kept in good condition to protect hands, feet, head,
eyes, etc. when removing debris.
Use a suitably sized metal bar or wooden stake to clear
accumulated debris.
If the implement is plugged with compacted dirt or
shredded vegetation, clean with pressurized washer.
Cleaning the Flail Mower
CAUTION
!
To prevent serious injury:
Clean the machine with the tractor engine switched off and
with the flail mower disengaged and all components on the
mower stopped.
As a rule, clean the implement and decals thoroughly at
the end of each work day or shift and when necessary to
make the decals readable. In order to properly clean the
machine, follow the instructions below.
•
Cover all electrical and hydraulic connections with the
appropriate plugs.
•
Do not use gasoline, diesel fuel or other flammable
liquids to wash or degrease any of the machine's parts.
•
Never have open flames in the area.
•
Do not aim pressurized water at rotating parts,
bearings, gaskets, hydraulic hoses, cases etc.
•
Do not use any solvents or aggressive products that
could deteriorate the machine's painted surfaces,
hydraulic hoses, or rubber parts and seals.
•
Preferably dry the machine carefully with compressed
air after washing.
•
After washing, grease all parts of the machine that
require grease.
IMPORTANT:
Shredded debris may build up on the
mower. Check regularly and clean when necessary.
NOTE:
Cleaning is also an opportunity to inspect
the implement for damage or faults: check for and
repair/rectify any faults or damage found.
Safe Handling of Oils & Lubricants

The additives present in the lubricants can have toxic
effects on your health and cause damage to your health.
Seek medical attention immediately in the event of any skin
injury caused by lubricants.
•
When using lubricants, protect your skin with suitable
creams or gloves.
•
Seek immediate medical attention in the event of any skin
injury caused by lubricants.
•
Never use lubricants to clean your hands. Shavings and
other materials present in these substances can cause
injury.
•
Change clothes soiled with lubricant as soon as possible.
