Extensions With 19" Spikes (30, 30, & 50 Series)

Make sure bolts (#3) are positioned towards
the rear of the frame when attaching height
extensions (#1) to frame (#2).
BS(E)30, BS(E)40 & BS(E)50 Extension Option
Refer to Figure 1-9:
This option fits all 30, 40, & 50 series of Bale Spears.
1. Attach height extension (#1) to the right-hand side of spear frame (#2)
with 1/2"-13 x 3 3/4" GR5 bolts (#4), flat washers (#7), lock washers
(#6), and hex nuts (#5).
2. Tighten hex nuts (#5) to the correct torque.
3. Rotate bale spike (#8) until notch “C” is in line with bolt (#3).
4. Insert bale spike (#8) into mounting tube “B” and tighten 7/16"-14 x 1"
GR5 bolt (#3) against notch “C” until torqued tight.
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the left-hand side.
