1.
on page 38 if parking
cutter for long periods and end of season.
2.
If power take-off is engaged, idle engine, then
disengage power take-off.
3.
Park cutter on a level, hard surface. Place tractor
gear selector in park or in neutral and set park brake.
4.
Wait for blades to come to a complete stop and then
fold wings up to transport position.
5.
Shut tractor engine off and remove switch key before
dismounting from tractor.
6.
Lock wings in transport position with transport locks
and hairpin cotters. See
27.
Refer to Figure 1-12:
7.
Remove all stroke control spacers (#2) from center
hydraulic cylinder (#1) by spreading them apart at
the break line.
8.
Start tractor and lower cutter until front skids are
resting on the ground or on support blocks.
9.
Shut tractor down properly before dismounting. Refer
to
10. Replace stroke control spacers as needed to support
wheels at this position.
11. Move cylinder lift levers back and forth to release all
hydraulic pressure at the couplers.
Refer to Figure 1-13:
12. Attach park jack (#3) to jack mount (#12).
For detailed instructions, see
13. Unhook hitch safety chain (#4) from tractor.
14. Unhook hydraulic hose (#7) from tractor duplex
outlet. Insert couplers through spring hose loop (#10)
to keep couplers out of the dirt.
15. Unhook wire harness (#13) from tractor outlet. Coil
wire harness and store over spring hose loop (#10)
with connector hanging down to keep moisture out.
16. Pull back on locking collar (#6) and pull driveline (#5)
from tractor power take-off shaft.
17. Collapse driveline (#5) by pushing tractor end of
driveline toward the splitter gearbox.
18. Store yoke end of driveline (#5) on the cutter hitch
support rest (#11). Do not store yoke end in the dirt.
19. Adjust park jack (#3) up until hitch weight is removed
from tractor drawbar.
20.
See Detail “B”:
Remove hairpin cotter (#2) and hitch
