USING THE SHREDDER
The shredder takes the time and effort out of grating, slicing and pureeing a variety of
ingredients, especially vegetables and coleslaw salads, fruit and cheese. It comes with
4 drums for fine grating, coarse grating, slicing and pureeing e.g. fruit, cooked potatoes
and vegetables.
1.
First, make sure the machine is unplugged.
2.
Lift up the circular catch on the front of the shredding chamber. Choose a drum
and place it in the chamber. The white plastic end goes in first. CAUTION: take
great care when handling the drums as the cutting blades are sharp.
3.
Pull the catch down and click into place.
4.
Slot the shredding chamber onto the power unit. Twist it anticlockwise and you
will hear the safety lock click into place.
5.
Push the rectangular food tray onto the shredder. Plug in the machine. Place a
dish beneath the shredder to catch the food.
6.
Press the on/off switch. Using the square food pusher, gently guide your
ingredients into the shredder. You may find that some shredded food such as
carrot and onion remains inside the drum.
CAUTION: always switch off and
unplug the machine before scooping out any shreds; please do not use your
fingers as the blades are extremely sharp.
7.
When you have finished shredding, switch off and unplug.
PLEASE NOTE: to prevent blockages, cut your ingredients into pieces that will fit easily
down the feed chute. Always remove the stones from peaches, plums, cherries etc.
