3.7.5.2. Updating the System
Firmware updates may become available for the 2big
Network.
To install firmware updates:
Download updates from
www.lacie.com/support/
downloads/
.
Click the
Update the system
tab in Maintenance
(Fig. 3.7.5.2).
Click
New Update
.
Click
Browse…
and select an update file from your
computer.
Click
Apply
.
During the system update you will not have access
to the device and users will not be able to access shares.
When the update is complete, the login page will open.

3.7.5.4. Shut Down
To restart the 2big Network, click the
Shut Down
button (
B
in Fig. 3.7.5.3). The NAS page will remain
open even after the device shuts down.
TeChNICAl NOTe:
If the on/auto/off power switch
on the 2big is set to
auto
, the
Shut Down
button in
administration will restart the 2big, not shut it down.
3.7.5.3. Restart
To restart the 2big Network, click the
Restart
but-
ton (
A
in Fig. 3.7.5.3). The restart process takes a few
minutes. When the machine has restarted, the login
page will open.
