Enterprise Class disks with an unbeatable 5-year warranty each. These high-
quality internal disks feature 32MB cache memory and 7200RPM, and target
an ambitious 1.2 million hours MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure). Designed
for a RAID tower, they have been developed with rotational vibration
resistance technology, helping them to be even more reliable and robust.
Spare drives are also available on the LaCie website so users have the option
to keep full protection for their data in secured RAID mode configuration.

Designed with a sturdy aluminum body by Neil Poulton, the
LaCie 2big Quadra Enterprise Class easily integrates into any
Mac or PC environment. With versatile configurations such as
upright, horizontal, stacked with other drives, or rack-mounted,
it offers significant space saving abilities. Thanks to its FireWire
bus, it can be daisy-chained with fewer cables connected to your
computer, and offers a near limitless storage capacity when
connected to other hard disks.
Reliable Cooling System and Power Savings
The LaCie 2big Quadra Enterprise Class’s fully aluminum, sturdy heat
sink design provides 60% more surface area, which naturally draws heat
away from the internal components, keeping it cool and safe at all times.
It also offers Triple Power Management with a manual switch: “Auto” for
energy efficiency; “On” for instant access; or “Off” for data protection.
For maintenance, the LaCie 2big Quadra Enterprise Class can optionally
be disconnected from the computer during a RAID protection rebuild—the
LaCie 2big Quadra Enterprise Class will complete the task in standalone
mode, and you can switch off your computer!
