1. Create a hole in the wall for the rough-in assembly.
2. Place the rough-in assembly into the wall and connect to the water system, hot water connected on the left
and cold water connected on the right.
3. For 0140: Place the backplate onto the rough-in assembly so that it presses against the wall.
For 0140SP: Place the escutcheon ring over the cartridge body so that it presses against the wall,
and then tighten into place by screwing in the set screw.
4. Place the control handle onto the cartridge extension, with the lever facing down, so that the extension fits into
its preset housing.
5. Unscrew the lever and then tighten the set screw to keep the control handle in place.
6. Screw the lever back into the control handle.
Cartridge replacement
1. Close the water supply.
2. Unscrew the control lever (1) and the set screw (2) with the provided Allen wrench.
3. Remove the control handle (3) and then remove the backplate (4) or escutcheon ring depending on model.
4. Unscrew the cartridge body (5) and remove the cartridge.
5. Clean the rear seal area.
6. Place the new cartridge (R015) into its preset housing.
7. Reassemble by reversing steps 2-4.
8. Open the pipes and check for any leaks.
