SECTION 9. MAINTENANCE

WARNING

Unplug the appliance or switch off the circuit breaker before carrying out maintenance operations.

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure good performance and long-life.

To clean the stainless steel surfaces of the hood use a damp cloth only. Do not use abrasive cleaning materials or products on

any surface.

Clean the grease filters in a dishwasher or by hand-washing in hot water and detergent.  Wash the filters at least once a

month - sooner if the extractor is used extensively

When cleaning the grease filters it is vital that the grease tray is also cleaned. The grease tray is designed to catch the grease

from the open grease filters.

With the grease filters removed locate the grease tray fixing screws which can been found on the rear wall of the hood as per

Fig.11 there are four fixings screws two per tray

Release the fixings by hand or if necessary using a flat blade screw driver as per Fig.12

With the fixing screws lose pull the tray downwards as per Fig.13

Remove the excess grease from the trays and clean the tray in hot soapy water or place in a dishwasher.

Reverse the above procedure to reinstall the trays

To maintain the immaculate appearance of the extractor, and to minimise fire risk, ensure that grease deposits on the

extractor surfaces, filters and trays are kept to a minimum by regular cleaning.
