Backup and Restore Tab
The Backup and Restore tab (Figure 4-M) allows a system administrator to manage the backup
settings for saving the contents of the archive to external storage or network location. A
complete list of backup and restore functions available via this tab can be found in Table 4.3.5-B.

Backup and Restore Functions:
FUNCTION NAME

Backup Location
Select network directory location or external device for backups.
Backup Frequency
Select interval for backups.
Backup Day
When Backup Frequency is set to Weekly, selects on which day of
the week to run the backup
Backup Start Time
Time of day to run backup
Archive Records
Remove files older than specified interval
Patient Export Location
Select network directory location or external device for exporting
captured patient images or video from Archive
Backup Now
Start a backup immediately.
Restore Database
Restore the database of all patients and users from external storage.
Export Log Files
Export the system log files to a USB storage device.

NOTE: It is recommended that users periodically perform backups to save all patient and user
information stored in the Archive to external storage. Always keep backups in a secure location.
In the event of data loss or system failure, the backup can be used to restore archive files and
user settings by selecting Restore.
