ASSEMBLY
1. GENERAL
This section contains procedures describing the assembly of the Model FA5000 as well
as storage instructions after assembly. There is no special testing necessary during as-
sembly. However, once assembly is completed, the operational test procedure provided
in the Testing and Troubleshooting Section 100 should be performed to verify proper op-
eration of the Recorder.
2. REQUIRED MATERIALS
Special equipment required for testing and assembly of the recorder can be found in
Table 901 of the Special Tools, Fixtures, and Equipment Section 900 of this CMM.
Table 701 provides a list of the common assembly materials used with the FA5000.

3. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION:
THE FA5000 CIRCUIT BOARDS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO ELEC-
TRO–STATIC DESTRUCTION (ESD). PRIOR TO HANDLING PWAs, EN-
SURE PROPER PERSONNEL GROUNDING TECHNIQUES ARE USED.
ENSURE THAT CARDS ARE PLACED INTO STATIC SHIELDING
CONDUCTIVE BAGS WHEN HANDLING OR STORING.
