3.6 SDU Maintenance Connector (J2)
The Airbus Iridium SATCOM System SDU provides an RJ-45 Maintenance Port connector on the
front panel which provides for Ethernet connection to Ground Service Equipment (GSE) e.g. a laptop
or Personal Computer with a standard web browser.
3.7 SDU Configuration Module (SCM)
The SCM and antenna connect directly to the SDU. The SDU is the heart of the system and provides
all of the interfaces to other aircraft systems.
