The Media Server is now ready for network
connections. First, ensure that the TracPhone
system is installed, activated, and updated to the
latest software version.
The Media Server has two Ethernet ports for
connecting to the TracPhone system and vessel
network (see Figure 21). Two CAT 6A Ethernet
cables are supplied in the kit. Use the blue cable
for the Media Server’s LAN port, and use the red
cable for its WAN port. This will make it easier to
identify the cables later.
Connect the Media Server to the TracPhone
system and network as shown in the diagram for
your chosen configuration (see “Network
Configuration Options” on page 23).
If connecting to an ICM or CommBox-ACU,
make sure it is running software version
1111
or later
. (Software versions are listed on the
Support page of the TracPhone system's web
interface.)
