Greasing Jamb Swing Bearings
This section details greasing procedure for the Swing Jambs. Each Swing Jamb contains a stepper
motor to drive the assembly across the machine.Each Jamb Swing contains 2 linear bearings to
aid in the movement of the assembly.t
For recommended greasing schedule for all assemblies,
see “Lubrication Schedule” on page 2-23.
For more information about linear bearings, see “About Ball Rail Bearings” on page 2-19.
Recommended Tools
Jamb Swing Assembly Greasing Procedure
Use an extender to reach tight areas.
1.
Perform
Lockout/ Tagout.
2.
Find the linear bearings identified in Figure 2- 33 on page 2-42.
3.
Identify zerk fittings on the bearings.
4.
Apply approximatively 1 Gram (one pump from grease gun) of EP-2 grease.
5.
After lubrication is completed, clean up excess grease.
6.
Reverse
Lockout/Tagout.
