Maintenance
This chapter describes how to maintain the QuickGene-810.
4.1 Before Using the QuickGene-810
Before using the QuickGene-810, perform the following tasks:
• Keep clean inside the instrument and parts
• Supply/Replace buffers (wash buffer and elution buffer)
The buffers must be used within one day from when they are set in the QuickGene-810.
Execute the discharge operation when replacing the buffers in the tubes in QuickGene-810.
4.2 When the QuickGene-810 is left for a Week or More
Even after completing the operation and turning off the power, there are buffers (wash buffer, elution
buffer) remaining in the QuickGene-810. When the QuickGene-810 will not be used for a week or more,
the remaining buffers may become crystallized, and cause a clog or damage to the tubes.
Discharge the remaining buffers from the QuickGene-810 and clean the inside with ethanol.
■
