Installation

It is easiest to fit the cooker hood into a wall cabinet which has not yet
been mounted on the wall. This can be done either

without adjusting the height and the depth or

with adjustment of the height and the depth.

Installation with adjustment of height and depth is only possible if the inter-
nal partition of the wall cabinet can be removed.

Attaching the panel strip:

The assembly of a furniture strip is described here. An aluminium strip
(Acc. 611) is mounted in the same way.

The panel strip must fold down easily.

Panel strips made of solid wood and weighing more then1100 g must be fi-
led away from the back to reduce their weight.

Unscrew the hinges

C

 on both sides.

Place the drilling template (provided with the appliance) onto the furniture
panel strip and bore the fastening holes to a depth of 2 mm.

Screw the hinges

C

onto both sides of the furniture panel strip.

The catch locks

A

are designed in such a way that a panel strip with a

weight of up to 600 g can be locked in position without any problems and
will not drop down when in the upper position. If the panel strip is heavy
(up to a maximum weight of 1100 g), the springs of the catch locks must
be prestressed.

To do this, pull the catch locks out of the front girder. Hold the catch
housing and the catch piece

and press the slider

D

 against the springs

until it locks into the catch piece.
The grease on the catch piece must not be wiped off.

Then remount the covering caps and screw the retaining screws back in.

Installation without adjusting height and
depth

The internal partition of the wall cabinet must be fitted in such a way that
its adjusting elements remain easily accessible.

The front part of the cabinet can be fitted with insertable shelves.

The door can open on either side.

Turn the wall cabinet upside down and slide in the cooker hood.

Adjust the appliance in such a way that the panel strip is aligned with
the front edge of the adjoining cabinets.

Remove the metal filter (see page 16) and pull out the panel strip.

Fasten the appliance through the holes which will now have become visi-
ble. Use the countersunk screws provided with the appliance. Countersink
the pre-bored holes in such a way that the  metal surface is in line with
the base of the wall cabinet after it has been screwed down.

Screw the angles

A

of the casing to the side panels of the wall cabinet

from the inside. If the side panels are only 16 mm thick instead of 19 mm
thick, the spacing discs (provided with the appliance) must be used.

Now mount the wall cabinet above the hob as a complete unit.

Adjust the depth with the plastic spacing strip(provided with the appliance):

Remove the lamp cover after loosening the two fastening screws.

Place the spacing strip on the bar behind the fluorescent tube and cut off
at one of the intended fracture points according to the depth of the
cabinet.

Shorten the covering caps in the same way and place them onto the
spacing strip.
