4.4 Useful tips
Repairs to electrical appliances and gas
hobs are to be done only by certified pro-
fessionals. Inexpert executed repairs
present danger to the user.
Problem:
Burner does not ignite
Check successively if:
1. The burner was fitted correctly.
2. The main gas supply is open.
3. The burner is clean and dry.
4. The grooves in the burner are clean and
dry.
Flame extincts after ignition
The flames must touch the thermo-couple
element during ignition, so that the element
is heated sufficiently. If the flames do not
touch the thermo-couple, check if-
-The burner cover is placed correctly
-The thermo-couple element itself is dirty.
Remove the pollution according to the cle-
aning and maintenance instructions.
Electrical ignition does not work
Check successively if:
-The fuses in the main house installation
have not blown out, warn a fitter if neces-
sary.
-There is pollution between the ingnition
electrode and the burner cover. Remove the
pollution according to the cleaning and
maintenance intructions.
The form of the flames are different than
usual
Check whether the burner parts are fitted
correctly.
