GCM 642.1

The pipe for the gas connection is at the centre of the underside of the
appliance.

The gas connection pipe with R 1/2" outside thread is designed in such way
that it can either make a permanent connection with a gas connection tap in
conformity with DIN 3354 or a connection using a DVGW-approved gas safety
hose with a socket (DIN 3383, page 1).

The transition piece from R 1/2" to pipe diameter 8 x 1 mm which is provided
with the appliance can be used for appliances operating on liquefied petroleum
gas.

In Switzerland the use of SVGW-approved gas safety hose (with socket) is
obligatory.

It must be ensured that the connection parts are laid in such a way that they
cannot heat up and become damaged while the appliance is in operation and
that they cannot come into contact with the movable parts of the kitchen
elements.

Electrical connection

An earthed shockproof socket is required for electrical connection. Electrical
connection must be carried out in conformity with the VDE guidelines. The
appliance has been designed for a mains supply of 230 V/50 Hz It consumes
approx. 35 W.

The connection cables must be laid in such a way that they do not heat up
and become damaged when the appliance is in operation.

Installation

– Make the opening in the worktop and the opening for the control panel with

the specified dimensions below.

Installation dimensions

■

If the installation space is limited at the bottom by a horizontal partition
plate, a ventilation system must be created to the other furniture units
through an at least 180 cm

2

 (e.g. 10 x 18 cm) large opening in the

partition plate.

■

An edge of at least 5 mm must remain between the inside edge of the
cupboard front and the opening in the worktop.

Prepare the worktop opening for the installation of the hob

– Fasten sheet panelling

b

on all four sides of the worktop opening with the

enclosed nails. The angled section of the panelling then rests on the
worktop.

The notch on the angled side of the side sheets must coincide with the centre
of the worktop opening.
