Safety instructions

• Any unauthorised work or repairs carried out on the ap-

pliance are dangerous, since there is a risk of electric
shocks and short circuits. It is essential to avoid such un-
authorised work or repairs since these may result in injury
to persons or damage to the appliance. Any work on or
repairs to the appliance must therefore be carried out by
a professional electrician or by customer service.

• Overheated fat or oil on the cooking zone may ignite.

Cooking should be monitored at all times.
Never pour water onto oil or fat which has ignited since
there is a risk of burns. Cover the cookware to suffocate
the flame. Switch off the hotplate and allow the pot or pan
to cool down.

• Connecting cables for electrical appliances must not come

into contact with hot hotplate, since this could result in a
short circuit if the insulation material were damaged. Keep
connection cables well away from hot hotplate.

• Do not place any inflammable, easily ignitable or distortable

objects right under the hob.

• Caution: risk of burns particularly for infants and children

since they are not yet able to assess the danger. They
may sustain burns or scalds. Small children must there-
fore be kept well away from the hob and older children
may only operate the hob when under supervision.

• The surface of heating appliances and cookers becomes

hot during operation. Small children must therefore be kept
well away at all times. Always use oven cloths or oven
gloves and work carefully in order to avoid burns.

• High-pressure cleaners and steam jets may not be used

for cleaning purposes.

Avoiding damage

• Do not operate the hotplates without cookware and do

not use them for heating the room.

• Make sure that the hotplates and the base of pots or pans

are clean, since soiling will impair operation.

For persons

• Caution! People who are not familiar with the built-in hob

must only be allowed to operate it under supervision.
Generally keep little children away from the appliance and
never allow them to play with the appliance.

• Attention! The surfaces of the heating and the hotplates

become hot during use. Keep small children away at all
times.
