LUBRICATION
Grease the following points with
SHELL Multi-Purpose grease NLGI
grade 2 :
- Once a day :
*The 2 coupling sleeves (M) (photo 27).
*Universal joints and PTO shaft tubes.
- Once a week :
*The 4 rotors and 2 toggles (R) (photo 27);
*3-point frame pivot (B);
*Vertical articulation pin (J) (photo 24).
*4 wheel axles (A) (photo 19).
*4 levers (H) (photo 19).
*The angle adjustment crank handle and
its articulation (on the GF 5000 T).
- Once a year :
*4 rotor housings.
- Next, in order to prevent the outside
rotor tines touching the inner rotor
tyres (risk of puncture), lock one
tine arm (B) of each outside rotor
using clips (L) (photo 26).
Do not forget to lift lock clips (L) (photo 26) when changing the GF 5000
T into its working position.
Never engage the PTO shaft when the machine is in the transport position.
Never transport the GF 5000 T at over 25 km/hr (16 mph).
To avoid the tines puncturing the tyres of the inner rotors when the GF
5000 is in the transport position (with outer rotors folded back), always
ensure that the inner wheels are locked in their forward position (photos
19 and 20) before folding the outer rotors to the rear.
