INSPECTION OF KNIVES AND SECURING

ELEMENTS

1. The securing bolt must be replaced:

- When a visible deformation is found.

- When the locking compound on the threads

has worn away or if the locking compound has
become inoperational due to inclusion of water,
oil or dirt.

- When wear on the head reaches the contact

area of the knife.

- When the diameter (D) of the bolt shoulder

is less than 15 mm (5/8 ").

2. The nuts must be replaced :

- When the contact washer has lost its elasticity

or when it becomes loose from the nut.

- When wear on the nut reaches a = 5 mm.

For the correct operation of your machine,

always use genuine KUHN spare parts.
