Lever alignment (Right and Left)
3. Loosen the nut.
4. Slide both levers forward or rearward to desired
position within tab slots until levers are aligned.
5. Tighten the nut.

If the ends of the levers strike against each other while
in the "NEUTRAL" position, move the levers outward
to the "NEUTRAL LOCK" position and carefully bend
them outward.
Move them back to the "NEUTRAL" position and
check for the recommended space.

ANTI-SCALP ROLLERS
To avoid serious injury or death:
A
Park the machine on a firm and level surface.
A
Apply the parking brake.
A
Stop the engine and remove the key.
A
Wait for all moving parts to stop.
A
The flattest cut can be achieved by having the anti-
scalp rollers adjusted off the ground.
Check anti-scalp roller adjustments each time the
mower deck cutting height is changed.
It is recommended that all the anti-scalp rollers be kept
off the ground to minimize scuffing.
1. Check the machine tire pressure.
Inflate tires to the correct pressure. (See "TIRES AND
WHEELS" section.)
2. Start the engine.
3. Raise up the mower deck to the transport position.
(Also the top end of the lift.)
4. Turn the cutting height control dial to adjust height.
5. Lower the mower deck.

(1) Motion control lever
(2) Nut, washer
(3) Bolt
6. Adjust the height of the front side anti-scalp roller to
one of three positions to approximately 19 mm (3/4
in.) between rollers and the ground.
Adjust both side rollers to the same height.

7. Adjust the height of the rear side anti-scalp roller to
one of three positions to approximately 19 mm (3/4
in.) between rollers and the ground.
Adjust both side rollers to the same height.
