ubota Hose Stay Kit
Figure 1-2
Refer to Figure 1-1 on page 8:
1.
Route hydraulic hoses (#1 & #2) through hose
holder (#3) and along the most convenient path to
access your skid steer couplers. See note above.
2.
Clean quick connect couplers of dirt and then
connect hoses (#1 & #2) to the skid steer couplers.
3.
Make sure quick connect couplers are fully engaged.
If not, check couplers to see if they are same size and
type. Also, make sure all hydraulic pressure to the
couplers has been released.
4.
Extend and retract hydraulic cylinder with skid steer
controls. Switch male and female couplers on the
hydraulic hoses if hydraulic cylinder operates
opposite direction intended, and then reconnect
hoses to skid steer couplers.
5.
For additional help, refer to Hydraulic Hook-Up in
your skid steer Operator’s Manual.

Hose Stay Kit
NOTE:
If attaching to a Kubota skid steer, route
hydraulic hoses through Kubota’s SVL or SSV Hose
Stay as shown in Figure 1-2. Purchase
SVL Hose
Stay #S6689 or SSV Hose Stay #77700-07225
through your nearest Kubota dealer. Refer to your
skid steer Operator’s Manual for more instructions.
Purge Hydraulic System
Figure 1-3
Purge Hydraulic System
Refer to Figure 1-3:
1.
With puller raised off the ground about 12", cycle
hydraulic cylinder (#9) from fully extended to fully
retracted and back until cylinder operates smoothly.
2.
If cylinder (#9) operates unevenly after cycling it
several times, purge hydraulic system as follows:
a. Remove cotter pin (#4) and clevis pin (#5).
b. Rotate cylinder rod (#9) out as shown.
c. Remove cotter pin (#4) and cylinder pin (#6).
d. Slide cylinder shield (#3) over end of cylinder
rod (#9) to expose elbow fittings (#7 & #8).
e. Replace clevis pin (#6) without cotter pin (#4).
f. Loosen elbow fitting (#7) from cylinder port “A”.
g. Slowly extend then retract the hydraulic cylinder
rod (#9) to purge trapped air from the system.
h. After all trapped air is removed, tighten elbow
fitting (#7) to cylinder port “A”.
i. Loosen elbow fitting (#8) from cylinder port “B”.
j. Slowly retract, then extend hydraulic cylinder
rod (#9) to purge trapped air from the system.
k. After all trapped air is removed, tighten elbow
fitting (#8) to cylinder port “B”.
l. Pull clevis pin (#6) and slide cylinder shield (#3)
over cylinder rod (#9).
m. Attach cylinder shield (#3) and cylinder
base (#10) to hitch frame (#1) with clevis pin (#6).
n. Attach rod end (#9) to jaw (#2) with clevis pin (#5).
o. Insert both cotter pins (#4). Bend one or both legs
of each cotter pin to keep them from falling out.
