WARNING
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment and
clothing when performing tasks such as using a cutting torch,
grinding, and/or welding.
Refer to Figure 1-4 & Figure 1-5 on page 4:
1. Ensure area where new chain guard mounts are to
be welded are void of gouges, and/or excess material
that still needs to be removed.
2. Measure out and mark locations on seeder frame for
placement of new chain guard mounts (#11 & #12).
Refer to Figure 1-4 below for the needed dimensions.

3. Secure both chain guard mounts (#11 & #12) to new
chain guard (#10) with two hand knobs (B). This will
set the angle needed for each chain guard mount.
Refer to Figure 1-5 on page 4.
4. Mount and secure chain guard (#10) to the top of
upper drive sub-assembly mount (#4) with the last
hand knob (B).
5. Verify that each chain guard mount is lined up to the
measured out markings made in step 2.
NOTE:
To achieve a good arc for welding, proper
penetration, and contaminant free welds, ensure
paint has been removed from the seeder’s steel
frame where the new chain guard mounts
(#11 & #12) will be welded to.
