12.36 Checking the swingarm

Check the swingarm for damage, cracking, and deformation.
» If the swingarm shows signs of damage, cracking, or deformation:

Change the swingarm.

Always change a damaged swingarm. Repair of the swingarm is not
authorized by KTM.
12.37 Checking the throttle cable routing
Preparatory work

Fold the seat up. ( p. 46)

Remove the fuel tank. ( p. 49)

Main work

Check the throttle cable routing.
The throttle cable must be routed to the carburetor along the back of the handle-
bar, below the seat fixing.
» If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
–
Correct the throttle cable routing.
Finishing work
–
Install the fuel tank. ( p. 50)

Lock the seat. ( p. 46)

Check the rubber grips on the handlebar for damage and wear and to ensure they
are firmly seated.
» If a rubber grip is damaged, worn, or loose:
