Fitting front wheel

Reduced braking due to oil or grease on the brake discs.

Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease, and clean them with brake cleaner when necessary.

Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.

Clean and grease shaft seal ring
and bearing surface
of the distance bush-
ing. Clean and grease the shaft seal ring on the right and the running surface of the
wheel spindle.

Lift the front wheel into the fork, position it, and insert the wheel spindle

Ensure that the grip of the wheel spindle does not contact with the right
fork leg.

Operate the hand brake lever several times until the brake pads are lying correctly
on the brake disc.

Remove the motorcycle from the work stand. (

Pull the front wheel brake and push down hard on the fork several times to align
the fork legs.

Removing rear wheel

Jack up the motorcycle. (

Press the brake caliper by hand on to the brake disc in order to press back the
brake piston.

Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.

Remove nut

Remove chain adjuster

Withdraw the wheel spindle only enough to allow the rear wheel to be pushed for-
ward.

Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the chain from the rear
sprocket.

Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take the rear wheel out of the
swing arm.

Do not operate the foot brake when the rear wheel is removed.
Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake disc is not dam-
aged.
