Run the engine warm and push the idle speed adjusting screw

all the way in.

Set the desired idle speed by turning the idle speed adjusting screw.
Guideline
Idle speed 1,800… 1,900 rpm
Info
Turn counterclockwise to increase the idle speed.
Turn clockwise to decrease the idle speed.
16.4 Checking the basic position of the shift lever

Sit on the vehicle in the riding position and determine the distance

upper edge of your boot and the shift lever.
Gap between the shift lever and the top
of the boot 10… 20 mm (0.39… 0.79 in)
» If the distance does not meet the specifications:

Adjust the basic position of the shift lever.
