Removing the air filter

Note

Engine failure

Unfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine.

–

Never ride the vehicle without an air filter since dust and dirt can get into the engine and result in increased wear.

Warning

Environmental hazard

Problem materials cause environmental damage.

Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

–

Remove the seat (

Raise the rear of the air filter box lid



. At the same time, use your other hand to press

on the carburetor connection boot



to kink it at that location. This prevents the carbu-

retor connection boot from disconnecting from the carburetor.

–

Unhook the air filter holder



and swing it to the side. Remove the air filter



with the

air filter support.

–

Remove the air filter from the air filter support.
