6.6 Ignition/steering lock

The ignition/steering lock is in front of the upper triple clamp.
Possible states
Ignition off OFF
–
In this position, the ignition circuit is interrupted, a run-
ning engine stops, and a non-running engine will not start. The ignition key
can be removed.
Ignition on
ON
–
In this position, the ignition circuit is closed and the
engine can be started.
Steering locked LOCK
–
In this position, the ignition circuit is interrupted
and the steering locked. The ignition key can be removed.
6.7 Locking the steering
Note
Danger of damage The parked vehicle can roll away or fall over.

Park the vehicle on a firm and level surface.

Park the vehicle.

Turn the handlebar all the way to the left.
–
Insert the key into the ignition/handlebar lock, press in, and turn to the left. Remove
the key.
Steering is no longer possible.
