PROBLEM
SOLUTION
When I press the start/stop
button nothing happens
Remove the carafe from the base and place it back.
Check that your appliance is placed flat on the base and that the base is
pluged in.
Unplug the base and plug it in again, press the start/stop button. If the
button light does not turn on, please consult your nearest KRUPS after
sales service center.
If your appliance was used without water: leave the appliance to cool for
a few minutes and allow the safety override to reset. Fill the carafe with
water and turn on, the appliance will begin to operate after the safety over-
ride has reset .
The water has a plastic taste This usually happens when the product is brand new. Discard the water
you boil the first few times. If the problem persists, fill the kettle up and
add two teaspoons of baking soda. Boil the water and discard it. Rinse
the carafe.
If the product has fallen,
if it is leaking, or if the power
cord, plug or base are visibly
damaged
Consult the nearest KRUPS After Sales Service Center and the warranty
included at the end of these instructions.
Do not use the appliance. No attempt should be made to disassemble
the product or override the safety devices. If the power cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a KRUPS After Sales Service
Center, or any person with similar qualifications.
I cannot lock properly the
large filter in the kettle.
Please check the Silicone joint (l) is properly adjusted in its ribs located
in the upper side of the large filter. If the Silicone joint (l) has been inci-
dentally removed, please place it back in its rib. Please refer to the
DESCRIPTION section.”
7. DISPOSING OF YOUR APPLIANCE
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recycled. Consult your local waste col-
lection center for correct disposal procedure and recycling options.
