Setting the triggering sensitivity
BP000-238
The spring (8) is used to set the triggering sensitivity of the feeler rocker. After the feeler rocker
has swung out, the spring retracts the feeler rocker again (zero position).
In the factory, the spring length is set to dimension
X=205–210 mm
. The higher the spring
tension is, the more crops will be accumulated in the bale channel.
Recommendations on setting the triggering sensitivity
•
The spring tension should be increased if the bale channel chamber does not fill up
sufficiently to its full height. Thereby, the filling of the big bale is improved to the top.
•
If the spring tension is too high, the result may be blocking up the packer and hence
reducing throughput.
•
The spring tension should be reduced if the packer overload coupling engages too
frequently.
•
Poorly filled out bale corners are generally the result of unfavourable swath shapes or
driving to one side.
Increasing/reducing the spring tension:
Loosen the screw connection (13).
In order to reduce the spring tension, reduce dimension X.
In order to increase the spring tension, increase dimension X.
Tighten the screw connection (16).
INFORMATION
Setting the triggering sensitivity is not sufficient
If the bale shape is still not satisfactory after the spring has been tensioned to the maximum,
install the feeler rocker in the next higher position,
.
If the overload protection still responds too frequently after the spring tension has been
reduced to the maximum, install the feeler rocker in the next lower position,

Moving the sensing rake
NOTICE
Damage to the machine due to moving the threaded rod
In order to avoid damage to the machine, never move the threaded rod (9) into position (VI).
