Extended position (rear dead point)
The packer (10) is correctly set to the plunger (9) if the piston rod (8) is in extended position (I).
At the same time, the large roll on the packer strip (11), which runs in front of the feeder strip
(12), must be in the range
of 30–60 mm
under the inspection window (5).
Adjusting packer relative to the plunger is only necessary if the following parts have been
disassembled:
•
Packer coupling (4), packer gearbox (3), chain coupling (2)
•
transfer gearbox (1) (or disassembling drive train transfer of transfer gearbox relative to
main gearbox (6))
•
Crank arm (7) of main gearbox (6)
Check if the packer coupling is engaged,
Check if the Variable Filling System (VFS) is in zero position,
Move packer strip (11) into position,

correspond to the marking (1) on the cone of the packer coupling.
