10.8 Installation of the auger-type cross conveyor
10.8.1 Removing the conditioner deflector
plate
Installing the retaining chains
Lower all lateral mowing units on a firm area.
Remove the ignition key and secure the
mower so that it cannot start to move on
its own.
Only use appropriate and authorized
lifting devices for the installation and
removal of the auger-type cross
conveyor (weight of the auger-type cross
conveyor = approx. 300 kg).
The following description shows the
installation of the auger-type cross
conveyor on the right hand mower side.
The installation on the left hand mower
side has to be carried out in an
analogous way.
Attach the retaining chains (2) to the ring bolts (3) and
(4) of the conditioner deflector plate (1).

Releasing the clamping levers
Release the clamping levers (1) and (2) located at the
outer side of the mower (3).

Maintenance, cleaning and repair work should be done only when the machine is at a
complete standstill. Shut down the engine and remove the ignition key.
After completing maintenance work reattach all protective plates and protective devices
properly. Avoid skin contact with oil and grease. With injuries caused by oil escaping under
pressure, get the assistance of a doctor immediately.
The cutter blades can continue to rotate after the drive has been switched off.
Only approach the machine once the work tools have come to a complete standstill!
Only use appropriate and authorized lifting devices for the installation and removal of the
auger-type cross conveyor (total weight of the conveyors = approx. 300 kg).
