7.1 Checking the spark electrode and flame

Ensure that the electrode length does not change.

Remove dirt from electrodes or insulators.

Adjust spark plug and electrode to the measured

Turning the spark plug makes it easier to feed the
electrode into the burner insert.
7.2 Checking the burner

Do not damage the surface of the insulation.
➔
Avoid the formation of dust.

If the burner insert is dismantled, the gas housing
gasket will have to be renewed.

Place the burner insert in a safe place.
➔
Depending on the amount of dirt or wear: replace
the spark electrode/flame rod and dowel pin during
servicing – see page 12 (7.1 Checking the spark
electrode and flame rod).

Check burner head for dirt and thermal cracks.

– Burner heads have sharp edges.
➔
When replacing any burner components: apply
ceramic paste to the screw connections in order to
avoid cold-setting – see page 14 (9 Accessories).

Check the electrode positions.

The front part of the insulator must protrude 4 mm
from the burner air disc.
