shown in the side view of plan sheet 1. Remove the superstructure again and carefully cement the brackets to the
bulwark by running CA-cement all around their edges.
Cement bathing platform 106 against the buttocks and attach platform struts 105 with two strut sockets 116 each
to buttocks and platform, keeping the platform in exactly horizontal position. Then slide two stanchions 46 each
over the upper ends of hand rails 64, push the stanchions and the lower ends of the hand rails into their respective
holes, carefully align them and spot cement them in position. Eventually secure the stanchions with stanchion
holders 112 and conscientiously cement the lower hand rail ends into the holes of the bathing platform.
To complete the hull cement flagstaff holder 63 under the bulwark edge 13 and stern light 107 against the but
-
tocks. Then cement two cleats 117 each against the bulwark and two fairleads 118 each onto the bulwark edges
in bow and stern as shown in side and top views.
Screw vents 109 onto the cabin roof with screws 119 and cement the life raft 67 in front of them. Then add
handholds 108 and hand rails 110 to the sides of cabin and saloon respectively.
Knot handling lines 120 to the eyebolts of all five ring-buoys 69 two inches from one of their ends and cement
these short ends to the lower parts of lamps 71. Then spot cement one ring-buoy and lamp each into the lower
racks 68, coil the handling lines, spot cement them into the hooks and cement the racks to the sides of the
cabin as shown in the side view of plan sheet 1.
Eventually cement saloon door 73 and fire-extinguisher 74 to the rear saloon wall.
To complete the awning deck first cement eyebolts as shroud fittings 121 into the 1 mm dia. holes and stan
-
chion feet 122 into the 2 mm dia. holes. Then slide the two connecting sleeves 48 and ten stanchions lol over
rail 111 in the sequence shown in the top view on plan sheet 2, push the stanchions over their feet and cement
them at the same time.
Use the remainder of the nylon thread to make halyard, topping lift and sheet and bind them to mast and boom,
sliding sheet guide 98 with socket 97 over the sheet at the same time. Then fold and attach sail cover 126 over
the boom and cement masthead light 94 to the front of the mast. Put the completed mast into mast heel 41/42
and fasten it with shrouds 127 and rigging screw dummies 128. Thereafter cement socket 97 in position ento
the awning deck.
Eventually cement side lights 99 in position, spot cement one ring-buoy and lamp each into the higher racks 68,
coil the handling lines, spot cement them into the separate hooks and cement racks and hooks over rail 111.
Finishing Touches
Solder spark-suppression capacitors 129 between motor case and lugs and from lug to lug as shown an the left
hand side of plan sheet 2 and solder a 9 inch piece of flex 142 to each lug at the same time. Bolt the motor to
the reduction gear again and fasten prop 133 with nut 132 tightly to shaft 27. Slide the shaft through the stern
tube, slide collar 130 over the shaft end and connect the shaft end to the motor with coupling 131. Then push
the collar tightly against the stern tube and fasten it with the set screw.
Cement accumulator trays 134 into the hull and mount blocks 135 onto the left RC base plate 17. Open up
screw eyes to form hooks 142 and screw them into the mounting blocks. Bend antenna 138 as shown in the
side view and fix it onto the left RC base plate with screw and washer 139.
Put the accumulators into the trays, mount all RC components to the base plates and plug them together ready
for operation. Then use flex 142, flat sockets 143 and flat connectors 144 to connect accumulators, motor and
speed controller to the instructions of the latter. Fasten the rudder in its trank with tiller arm 145 and make
pushrbds from parts 146 to 148 to connect the servos with rudder and speed controller respectively.
Last, but not least, put your trawler yacht in the water and fill and fix ballast into the hull in front of the motor and
behind the rear bulkhead until it floats on even keel with the waterline just touching the surface of the water,
whereupon your „Nordstrand“ is ready for her maiden voyage.
