9 Kramer Protocol 3000
The VS-44FO can be operated using serial commands from a PC, remote
controller, or touch screen. The unit communicates using the default Kramer
Protocol 3000 but can also use Kramer Protocol 2000.

9.1 Switching Protocols
Protocols can be switched either from the front panel buttons or by transmitting
protocol commands.
To switch protocols using the front panel buttons:

To choose Protocol 2000, press OUT 1 and OUT 2 at the same time

To choose the Protocol 3000, press OUT 1 and OUT 3 at the same time
To switch protocols using protocol commands:

To switch from Protocol 3000 to Protocol 2000, send the following command:
#P2000<CR>

To switch from Protocol 2000 to Protocol 3000, send the following command:
0x38, 0x80, 0x83, 0x81
Note : If you are using
Kramer’s Windows
®
-based control software it operates only
with Protocol 2000. If the VS-44FO is set to Protocol 3000, it automatically
switches to Protocol 2000.
