5  Connecting a UXGA / Component Distribution System 

To

 

configure a 

VPN-11

 / 

VPN-12

 UXGA/Component distribution system as 

the example in Figure 5 illustrates, do the following: 

1.  On the 

VPN-11

, connect a component video source (for example, a DVD 

player) to the Y/G, B-Y/B and R-Y/R RCA (component video) INPUT 

connectors

2.  On the 

VPN-12

, connect the Y/G, B-Y/B and R-Y/R RCA (component video) 

OUTPUT connectors to a component acceptor

 (for example, a plasma display). 

3.  Connect the LINE OUT 12-pole detachable terminal block connector of the 

VPN-11

 to the LINE INPUT 12-pole detachable terminal block connector 

VPN-12

, via coaxial cabling

 (maximum range of up to 10m). 

4.  On the 

VPN-11

 unit connect a 12V DC power adapter to the power socket 

and connect the adapter to the mains electricity. The 

VPN-12

 unit receives its 

power via the coaxial cable.
