7.3 Vent Restriction
Burner flame appearance and characteristics are affected by altitude,
fuel quality, venting configuration, and other factors. To achieve
desirable flame appearance, the vent exhaust may be restricted by
the restrictor plate (included in components packet).
The restrictor plate is shipped with all inner rings intact. There are
(2) inner rings that must be knocked out. Do not install the restrictor
plate with the (2) inner rings in place.
Follow Figure 7.1 for restrictor plate installation before attaching
venting. See Figure 7.2 for vent access after attaching venting.

11.2.2 Vent Restriction (after installation) on page 72.
Slide the restrictor plate with ALL inner rings
removed into exhaust pipe on the top of the
fireplace with the tabs facing towards you prior
to attaching venting

Bend tabs to approx. 80° angles to create
tension to hold itself in place when installed
Remove ALL inner rings
