The power of the electric heater must correspond to the size of the steam room.
The steam room should be at least 1.9 m high.
The sauna should have natural ventilation. Air intake and exhaust should be located diagonally at the
top and bottom of the heated room, but not in the corner where the electric heater is placed.
The temperature sensor must be connected to the switching unit using the wires supplied in the de-
livery package. The electric heater must be connected to the switching unit using appropriately sized
heat-resistant insulated wires (see Table 2).
Before installing the control unit, check its integrity and completeness, and make sure the model of
the control unit selected is appropriate for the electric heater model.
The length of connecting wires shall be as follows:
- Control cable (4) from switching unit to control unit - 5 m
- Temperature sensor wire (3) from switching unit to temperature sensor - 5 m
The control unit's wiring diagram is shown in Fig. 1d.
CAUTION!
Before starting the wiring, make sure the power supply to which the electric heater and
the control unit are connected is de-energised.
The control box shall be installed outside of the steam room. To mount the control box, drive impact
anchors with a diameter of 4 mm (not included in the delivery package) into the wall in one horizon-
tal line at 79 mm intervals. Hang the control box onto the impact anchors using the dedicated holes
at the rear of the box's body.
CAUTION!
The control box shall be mounted within no more than 5 m from the switching unit. If the
distance between the control box and the switching unit exceeds 5 m, avoid extending the standard
cable; instead, use a 4x0.2 KSPVG cable (PE-insulated PVC-sheathed flexible communication cable)
of appropriate length with TP 4p4c (RJ11) connectors, and follow the wiring sequence applicable to
the standard cable.
The switching unit shall be mounted outside of the steam room using two impact anchors with a di-
ameter of 6 mm. The switching unit can be installed inside a switchboard or covered with a panel
cover.
The temperature sensor shall be installed inside the steam room. For accurate readings, the sensor
should be placed directly above the electric heater 1.8 to 2.0 m above the floor and at least 1.2 to 1.5
m above the sauna heater.
An installation contractor's representative putting the control unit into operation shall brief the user
on safe operation and maintenance of the control unit, and specify which operations can be done by
the user and which ones require a qualified serviceman.
The installation contractor's representative shall make a record and sign and stamp the warranty cer-
tificate. Without such records the warranty certificate shall be considered invalid and the manufacturer
