Before First Use
•
Remove all packaging material and check whether the
appliance is complete.
• Place the appliance on an even, non-slippery and heat
resistant surface.
• Fully unwind the power cord and connect the appliance to a
properly installed wall socket.
Note:
The toasting plates (5) have a protective coating. To
remove the protective layers on the heating elements, heat up
the toasting plates (without food) for a few minutes.
This could cause a slight build-up of smoke and odour. This
doesn’t cause any harm nor does it mean that your appliance
does not work properly. Make sure that the room is well
ven
tilated!
After this preheating process, your sandwich maker is ready for
operation. Let it completely cool down and clean it as described
under
Cleaning and Care.
Warning:
Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and
babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
