5: Show # of steps
Use the 16/32/64 buttons to adjust the viewable range of the display, to show 16, 32, or 64 Steps, respectively.
For compatibility with the hardware wavestate, Steps are named in groups of 16: A1…A16, B1…B16, C1…C16, and
D1…D16; you’ll see these names in the Wave Sequence Inspector for Lane start/end and loop points, and when editing
individual steps.
6: Wave Sequence Inspector
This area shows details for the currently selected Lane or Step.
To edit Lane parameters, click on the Lane’s title. To edit Step parameters, click on a Step.
7: Mod Inspector
This shows the modulation routings for the selected parameter. You can add or delete routings from the list, adjust
modulation intensity, and change the selected Mod Sources (including adding a second Mod Source for routings
created by drag-and-drop).
8: Layer Select
These select which of the Layers is shown. You can also select Programs for the Layers, and turn them on and off.
9: Loop Controls
These control the direction of the Lane’s loop:
Forward
,
Backward
, or alternating
Forward-Backward
.
10: Random Order
When this is
On
, the Lane’s Steps will play in a different order every time the loop repeats. For details, see “Random
Wave Sequence
Mode
This lets you choose whether the Program will play a Wave Sequence or a single Multisample.
[Wave Sequence, Single Multisample]
Wave Sequence:
The Program will use a Wave Sequence.
Single Multisample:
The Program will use a Multisample instead of a Wave Sequence. All of the Lane controls will be
disabled.

Wave Sequence
[List of Wave Sequences]
This shows the currently selected Wave Sequence. Use the < and > arrows to step through Wave Sequences one by
one, or click on the name to bring up a browser window. Right-click/control-click (macOS) on the name to bring up a
contextual menu for saving and renaming.
Sync Notes
[Off, On]
Sync Notes sets whether individual Wave Sequences play on their own separate timelines, or whether they are sync’d
together.
Off
: Each of the Program’s Wave Sequences will play independently.
On
: If at least one note of the Program is already playing, the Wave Sequence lanes for newly played notes will start
on the same steps as those of the oldest note. See the graphic below. There may still be variations due to per-note
modulation or Probability.
Additionally, for all Layers which have both Sync Notes and Tempo turned
On
, their Wave Sequences will sync
together.
