6.3 The Sports Plane / Boat Mode
(Mode 3)
All required properties for electric powered
sports planes or boats are preadjusted in
this mode.
•
The EMF-brake is disabled.
•
The under voltage cut off is disabled.
Instead a motor slow down is activated
when the battery reaches the discharge
voltage.
•
The over temperature cut off and the
over current limitation are activated to
cut off the motor at over load
conditions.

6.4 Reverse Motor Rotation (Mode 7)
The motor rotation will be reversed by
changing any 2 motor cables or by
programming mode 7. This mode does not
change any other features programmed
before. Program like Mode 3 but wait on 7
signals.
6.5 Lipo Mode (Mode 9)
Programming this mode will toggle the
setting of the discharge voltage between
0.7-0.8V per NiCd/NiMH cell and 2.7-3V
per Lipo cells.
This mode does not change any other
features programmed before. Program like
Mode 3 but wait on 9 signals.
To avoid misunderstandings the start up
signal changes to

when the
LiPo-Mode is active.

Troubleshooting
Unexpected motor cut off:
•
Strong interference with the Rx.

Install the Rx and the antenna with
more distance from ESC and motor.
Use torodial core KONTRONIK #9700.

Over temperature:

Improve the cooling of the speed
control.
•
Interruption of the power supply (loose
connection):
/
Only use high quality connectors as
KONTRONIK silver connector #9010
or gold connectors.
