RS232/422/485
The COM port is provided as a 9-pin D-SUB connector and allows the connection of a serial peripheral. It is designed
to support RS232/422/485 serial communication which can be configured via BIOS setup.
4.3.7.
Reset Button
The reset button allows users to clear CMOS to reset the BIOS to defaults. To initiate this function, use the tip of a pen
to press the button briefly (for less than three seconds).
4.3.8.
Wafer for External Power Switch
This wafer allows integrators to locate an external power button / switch to easily power on and off the system in
case the system is intended to be mounted / placed inside a cabinet, custom enclosure or machine.
4.3.9.
Antenna Port
The KBox F-420-WLU reserves two covered cutouts for the Reverse (RP) SMA connectors of the WLAN and / or
WWAN antennas (M.2 WLAN card and / or M.2 WWAN card with 2 antennas is an option).
4.3.10.
Kensington Lock Slot
The slot is used for attaching a lock-and-cable apparatus. Locks are generally secured in place with a key or
combination lock attached to a rubberized metal cable. Users can use it to attach KBox F-420-WLU to a stationary
object and protect it from theft.
