Ethernet Controller
The CrystalLAN CS8900 Ethernet Controller from Cirrus Logic follows the IEEE 802.3 standard and
supports half- or full-duplex operation in 16-bit ISA bus computers on 10-Mbps Ethernet networks.
Note:
Crystal CS8900 Ethernet magnetics are not included and are assumed to be on the baseboard.

Software Installation
To install and configure your CS8900 Ethernet Controller:
1. Connect your network cable.
2. Configure the controller.
3. Install the device driver and support files.
4. Perform diagnostic tests as needed.
CS8900 Configuration
Connect the network cable before loading the driver. CS8900-based controllers have the following
default settings.

To change the configuration of the controller after it has been installed, run the CS8900 DOS setup.exe
utility, which you can find in the driver archive. You can find the driver archive in the Ethernet.exe utility
files.
If you use a DIMM-PC/486-I module, IRQ5 and IRQ11 are unavailable. The CS8900 controller should use
either IRQ10 or IRQ12.
