Disassemble the RU-513, separating the top cover from the base, by removing the rear hinge
pin.

Separate the lid bottom from the top.

Remove the paper entry side hinge bracket from the lid (top cover) of the RU-513. This is the
hinge closest to the fuser. Install a small washer under the bracket so that the screw passes
through it.
4.
After the hinge bracket is secured with the screw, insert another washer between the bracket
and the plastic where the bracket protrudes out. The fit will be tight. Secure it in place with a
piece of tape.
