The printer’s 8 MB of RAM is sufficient for
printing all supported page sizes.
The PagePro 1400W supports the Graphical Display Interface (GDI) for
Windows and, as such, utilizes the power of the host computer’s CPU for
processing documents prior to printing. The printer’s controller features a
compression/decompression ASIC used for imaging the document.

The PagePro 1400W uses an Application Specific Integrated Circuit
(ASIC) for document imaging.
Printer Memory
The PagePro 1400W includes 8 MB of RAM on the controller. This
memory is sufficient for printing all supported page sizes at all supported
resolutions. There is no need to install additional memory in the printer.
However, increasing memory on the host computer may improve the
transmission speed and overall performance of the printer.
