6.7 Auto Paper
Auto Paper detects the original size and automatically selects and feeds copy paper of the same size (×1.0
magnification mode), or selects an appropriate size according to the magnification ratio selected (Zoom
mode).

The original sizes to be detected from the ADF or original glass are previously determined. See page 3-15
for details.
The original sizes to be detected from the ADF or original glass can be changed. For details, see Section 7
of the POD Administrator's Reference.
An administrator can set a tray or paper condition to be incompatible with Auto Paper. For details, see Sec-
tion 7 of the POD Administrator's Reference.
The machine can be set to deactivate Auto Paper when original is set in the ADF or on the original glass .

Auto Paper is incompatible with Auto Zoom, while Image Rotation is available.

Auto Paper will not function for the tray specified as [Custom] in Tray Setting or Paper Presetting.

Close the ADF securely, and then press Reset on the control panel .
All the settings will resume the initial state, with [Auto Paper] selected automatically.

Position the original.
The tray loaded with an appropriate paper size will be selected automatically.

Or, a message will prompt you that an appropriate size cannot be found in any tray. In this case,
load paper of the size referred in the message.

Auto Paper may not function for the tray due to the paper conditions specified for that tray, even
with the selected size loaded.
