Warning signs:
Avoid accidents by always following the safety instruc-
tions which are specified in the manual and on the
blower.
Warning labels with symbols without text are located on
the blower. The meaning of the symbols is explained
below. If a warning label gets damaged, and no longer
is legible, it must be replaced. New labels are available
in the spare parts list.
Read the instructions for use carefully
and pay attention to the warning texts
in the operating instructions and on the
blower.
Always turn off the power to the blower
prior to repair and maintenance and
make sure it cannot be started by
mistake.
Never put your hand, head, or oth-
ers body parts into the blower inlet or
outlet, while the blower is running, it is
life-threatening to come into contact
with the rotor while it is in motion. The
rotor must only be touched when it is
completely stopped and it is secured
that the blower can not be started.
The blower housing gets hot during
operation. Be careful when touching.
The blower generates high noise lev-
els. Wear hearing protection if working
near the blower during operation with
open doors.
Mounting:
The Multiair blower is delivered from the factory ready
to use and needs only to be connected to the power
supply and pipes on the blower intake / outlet.
If the blower is to be moved, a forklift or similar should
be used, which lifts underneath the bottom frame. The
forks must be long enough to lift both sides of the bot-
tom frame.
It is important that the blower is level, otherwise the
doors can not close properly. Adjustment can be made
on the 4 machine shoes under the bottom frame of the
blower.
Weight, see back of manual.
MultiAir
blower is dimensioned for ambient tempera-
ture -20 °C to 50 °C. If the temperature exceeds 50 °C,
this can reduce performance and service life.
MultiAir FC
blower is dimensioned for ambient temper-
ature -20 °C to 50 °C. Since it is much easier to main-
tain a temperature above -20 °C in an external control
cabinet, Kongskilde recommends using a MultiAir FCE
4000 blower with external control cabinet that can thus
be mounted indoors, in case the blower is to be used in
very cold environment. If the temperature exceeds 50
°C, the motor may become too hot and the blower will
stop automatically.
For both
MultiAir
and
MultiAir FC
:
Make sure the blower is installed so that it is secured
against falling and tipping over.
Make sure that there is a sufficient supply of fresh air to
the room in which the blower takes the intake air from.
Make sure that the blower is set up so that it is easy
access to operation and maintenance. The blower must
be set up on a stable surface that is level and horizon-
tal, to ensure that the doors close properly. Adjust the
machine shoes under the blower so that they support
evenly on the ground. It is not necessary to attach the
blower to the ground or platform.
The MultiAir 4000 and FC4000 blowers are available
in two versions; as clean air blowers and as material
blowers:
The clean air blowers
are designed for maximum
performance with clean air (the air may contain small
particles). Material must never be passed through the
blower, since this will damage the rotor and blower
housing, or possibly block the rotor.
The material blowers
are designed for suction of
material through the blower, see section "Description".
The blower rotor and blower housing must regularly be
inspected for wear and breakage, see section "Service
and maintenance".
