Gain
The purpose of the
Gain
function is to adjust the echo level in the display
presentations. By adjusting the gain you can control how much amplification the
TV80 system applies to the received echoes. In combination with TVG value,
select the best setting for your fishing scenario. 10 is the default value.
Gain is a linear function.
Offset
Offset can be very useful if you are more interested on details from, for example,
the centre of the trawl and down to the bottom rather than the whole trawl opening.
Instead of having the echogram starting from the sensor, you make it start from
a distance from the sensor. This parameter will help you focus on the part of the
trawl that is most important for you. Do not confuse this parameter with the one
specifically related to a measurement.
Measurements
Select the measurements you want to receive
from your PX TrawlEye. The number of
measurements available will be limited by the SW
version of your sensor and/or on your selection
of the
Learn Mode
parameters. When enabled,
the sensor will send the requested measurements.
When the PX TrawlEye sensor is equipped with a
Depth/Temperature lid, and the depth measurement is selected, the echogram can
be visualized in true motion.
Priority
Selecting
Priority
will allow the selected measurement to be transmitted after
every other measurement.
Learn mode
Before configuring the PX TrawlEye sensor for your operating needs, you can
test different settings. This will help you save a lot of operative time and will
make you obtain accurate data right from the beginning. If Learn mode is enabled
the PX TrawlEye sensor will run through the learn parameters you select for the
ping-period you select in the ping interval. The data from
Learn mode
is shown on
the
Extras
menu whenever the sensor is sending that information.
