Context
True Motion is especially important in bottom trawling since you can visualize how
the headrope - where the sensor is mounted- increases depth in real time. When the
TrawlEye sensor is mounted on the trawl doors, the
True Motion mode is also a valuable
tool for some fisheries to see in detail, and with fast update rate, how doors approach
the bottom and how far from it they are.
Procedure
1 Select the area you want to create a new view for.
The active view is identified with a thicker border.
2 Move the cursor to the right side of the view.
The
View
shortcut menu opens.
3 Select
Edit View
.
The
Designer
module opens.
4 Select
Add
on the top bar of the Designer module to open the
Gauges
dialog box.
5 Select the
TrawlEye
tab.
6 Select the TrawlEye gauge(s) you want to add to your view.
7 Click on the gauge, hold the mouse button depressed, and drag it into in your view.
You can increase or decrease the size of a gauge by clicking on the bottom right
corner and dragging until you get the desired size.
8 Select
Save
and then
Close
to save all the parameters and close the Designer module.
Your current presentation will show the information from the TrawlEye sensor
with the gauges selected.
9 Select the
Active
icon to open the menu.
The properties and parameters of an echogram can only be changed from
the
Active
menu.
10 In
TrawlEye Mode
select True Motion .
Result
Your presentation shows an echogram in True Motion so that you can see you TrawlEye
with regards to the bottom.
