Before a new ES80 Wideband fish finding echo sounder can be put to use, it must be set up
for operation.

Prerequisites

• The ES80 Wideband fish finding echo sounder system units have all been installed

according to the instructions provided.

• All cables have been connected and verified.

• All system units have been inspected.

• The ES80 operational software is available.

• The ES80 software license is available.

Caution

You must never start ES80 transmissions (pinging) when the ship is in dry dock. The
transducer may be damaged if it transmits in open air.

Procedure
